OUR STORY

Sydney Brown, the founder of Chapter Three Floral Studio, holding a bouquet of pink, rosey, and earthy florals.

I’m Sydney - the girl behind the blooms here at Chapter Three Floral! The name “Chapter Three” is a nod to the different seasons of my life and creative journey.

Chapter one was classical music. I spent the majority of my life honing my craft as an oboist and later had the privilege of performing professionally with world-class orchestras across the country. Music taught me to appreciate the beauty of art that exists only temporarily, the power of connecting without words, and the profound impact even the smallest details can have on an experience.

When COVID shut down the performing arts, I reached a point where I was ready for a new chapter. This led my now-husband and me to start a digital marketing agency together. After the world reopened and our business was well established, we fulfilled our dream of becoming “digital nomads” and traveled the world while building a Charlotte-based virtual team.

Eventually, we felt called to slow down, settle back into the Charlotte community, and plant roots. When the opportunity arose to sell our agency, I found myself craving a return to something more tangible - work that allowed me to create with my hands and bring beauty and meaning into people’s lives in a more personal way. During that season, I began learning from and working alongside some of the city’s leading florists, and I was immediately hooked.

Floral design became chapter three. It was a creative path that brought together everything I loved most from my previous chapters: artistry, entrepreneurship, beauty, and meaningful human connection. Much like music, flowers have the ability to express and evoke deep emotion, serve as a universal language, and create moments that - even if only temporary - feel like pure magic.

Today, I specialize in garden-inspired floral design for weddings and events throughout the Carolinas and beyond, creating florals that feel natural, romantic, and personal to each celebration.

To me, Chapter Three Floral is ultimately about finding beauty in the temporary - in flowers, in meaningful moments, and in the ever-changing chapters of our lives.

And now, I would be honored to be a small part of your next chapter.
